of 83 photos i discreetly snapped from the back of a motorcycle while speeding down a dirt road at 85kph, this is the one that kind of turned out. 
the start of my herb garden.
this is my new sigiri, the coal stove the locals cook on. sitting outside, cooking with my neighbors has become my new favorite evening pastime.   
 my first lesson on the sigiri with a girl named kevin.

rwanda in 80 seconds

a small post on a small jaunt in kigali. after a week in this beautiful and refreshing city, somehow the vast majority of footage i left with was shot in transit: on a bus or from the back of a motorbike taxi. so here you have the rwanda drive-by.

confusion, causes célèbres, and spinning apologia

To be nothing in the self-effacement of humility, yet, for the sake of the task, to embody its whole weight and importance in your bearing, as the one who has been called to undertake it.
